Connect with the DRO

Essential to the larger mission of the institution, the DRO advocates for an equitable and inclusive student experience. Institutional barriers are removed by determining appropriate academic adjustments, modifications to policies and/or auxiliary services to ensure an equal opportunity to participate in the North Carolina State University experience for students with disabilities.

DRO provides various resources for the campus community.

  • Provides consultation, guidance, and support to the overall campus community, students, faculty, and staff.
  • Serve as advocates for individuals with disabilities while promoting independence, self-determination, and responsibility.
  • Deliver training and resources for faculty, staff, and administration around accessibility and inclusion for individuals with disabilities.

  • Assists in identifying appropriate resources, both on and off campus, to support individuals in managing disability related impacts.
