Electronic Reserves

Some DSO students use software to read files aloud directly from the Web or to print a large font version of the material. This requires a text-based file format, such as HTML. e-reserve documents are now routinely run through optical character recognition software to create a layer of readable text underneath the PDF image layer. This text can be read by screen-reading software; however, there still may be e-reserve files that need to be converted. Responsibilities are as follows:

Student

  • Students who wish to have e-reserve documents converted to HTML should email a request to the Library and include the course number, instructor name, and the title of the file needing to be converted.
