Catalyst, a program looking to expand educational and career opportunities for students with disabilities, is helping high school students on the campus of North Carolina State University.

The Catalyst program creates free STEM opportunities for high school students with disabilities. STEM stands for science, technology, engineering and math. Some students in the program are getting hands-on experience in Puerto Rico, in partnership with the U.S. Forestry Service, by participating in field studies of tropical and marine ecosystems.
