Audio Format for Tests and Exams

Audio format speaks aloud the test word for word. Audio format is usually provided for the student who historically may have qualified for a reader. Responsibilities are as follows:

Instructor

  • Provide a reader at the department or schedule testing through the DRO.
  • For the student to use audio format at the DRO, it may be necessary for the instructor to be flexible about when the student takes the test for various reasons, such as DRO space or staff availability.

Student

  • Meet with the instructor to determine whether the test will be at the department or at the DRO and schedule future tests.
  • Any test scheduling conflicts should be addressed with the instructor and resolved well in advance of the test.

 DRO

  • Provide audio format.
