Our Team

Mark Newmiller

Mark Newmiller, Director of the Disability Resource Office, joined the DRO team in January 2003. A native of central New York, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from LeMoyne College, and a Master of Science degree in Special Education from the College of St. Rose. Mark has more than 20 years of professional experience working with students with disabilities. Throughout his career he has been responsible for teaching, evaluating, and determining the eligibility for services of students in a range of disability areas.

Prior to working in education, Mark worked in sales and spent a year working for the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games. Before becoming Director in 2012, Mark served nine years as an Access Consultant for students with LD and ADHD.

 

Megan Foxworth

Megan Foxworth, Assistant Director, joined the DRO in August 2021. Megan is from Red Springs, NC. She received her Bachelors of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Megan is a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).

Megan has several years of experience in a variety of professional settings in education. She has worked with students to increase access to higher education and post-secondary options as a Carolina College Advisor Corps member as well as served as an Access Coordinator in the UNC Chapel Hill and UNC Greensboro Accessibility Resources offices.

 

Jenna Prager

Jenna Prager, Assistant Director, joined the DRO in April 2022. Jenna is originally from Long Island, New York. Jenna holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University at Albany-SUNY, and Master of Science degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Hunter College.

Jenna has 10 years of professional experience working with students with disabilities. Most recently, Jenna worked for Duke University, where she served as a program coordinator for the Student Disability Access Office for the past 6.5 years. Jenna is very passionate about working with students with disabilities in the higher education setting and is excited to join North Carolina State University. Jenna resides in Wake County and enjoys spending time with her husband and two children.

 

Leslie Watts

Leslie Watts joined the DRO in 2017, prior to joining the team she worked for Wake County Public Schools. Leslie was born in Fayetteville, NC and received both her Undergraduate (BS, Education) and Graduate Degrees (MAT, Special Education) from North Carolina State University.
In addition to traveling, Leslie enjoys outdoor activities and is active in her community and church.

 

Marshaun Jackson

Marshaun Jackson, Assistant Director, joined the DRO team in September 2021. Marshaun is from Quincy, Florida. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice and Master of Science in Psychology from Keiser University.

Marshaun has 15 years of experience working with students with disabilities in higher education. He comes from Florida State University where he served as an Accessibility Specialist providing and managing accommodations for students. He is very passionate about this career and is elated to join DRO and Wolfpack Nation.

Thomas Martin

Thomas Martin is a Raleigh native and has lived in the Triangle area his entire life. Upon graduation from Raleigh’s Sanderson High School in 1990, Thomas entered NC State University. He graduated in 1995 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English: Writing and Editing. After working for several companies in the Research Triangle area, Mr. Martin returned to NC State University in 2000 to work as DRO’s Program Assistant. After six and a half years at DRO, he embarked upon a short stint working to coordinate interpreting services for a private agency in Wake Forest. Finally, in June 2008, Thomas again returned to NC State as the Assistant Director and Coordinator of Testing Accommodations in the Disability Resources Office.

 

Ryan Williford

Ryan Williford is a Raleigh native and has enjoyed living in the Triangle her whole life. After graduating from Enloe High school she attended East Carolina University with a focus in Psychology. She started at NC State in 2019 and later joined the DRO in 2020 as Assistant Coordinator of Proctoring.

 

Wyona Goodwin

Wyona Goodwin, the Business Services Coordinator, is a native of The Bronx, NYC. Wyona started her career at NCSU in March 2000 and joined the DRO in July 2007. She holds an A.A.S. degree in Office Administration from Wake Technical Community College, attended Saint Augustine University, Raleigh NC, and has completed several continuing education courses at NC State University.

Wyona brings over 30 years of experience in various professional settings and capacities that include the following areas: NYC Department of Health and Human Services, Wake County Health and Mental Departments, NC State University Human Resources, and various Academic Departments. In addition, Wyona has also served in various leadership roles at NCSU, most recently as an NCSU Staff Senate Chair and a National Coalition Building Institute Facilitator.

Her role in the DRO includes, but not limited to, budget management, HR generalist, coordinating interpreting and CART services, and management of temporary short-term impairment requests.

 

Consuelo Jones

Consuelo Jones, Program Assistant is a native of Emporia, Virginia. She has been employed in the DRO office since February 2014. She holds an A.A.S. in Business Administration from Southside Virginia Community College and has completed additional professional development programs. Consuelo’s prior employment includes HR Generalist for the Virginia Department of Corrections and Guest Service Representative for Hilton Hotels.

She currently resides in North Raleigh and is the mother of two children.
